Stan O'Hardigan VI (born 928YK) is the former CEO of the now defunct Stan's Egg Stand franchise and current owner of Stan's Traveling Egg Stand.

Early life and education

Stan O'Hardigan VI was born to Stan O'Hardigan V and Moira (née van Kardigan) O'Hardigan, who are of human descent, in their cottage in Zilspar. Stan had three younger sisters: Gwen, Ava, and Hilda. Gwen (born 930YK) and Ava (born 933YK) died from sudden illness in 934YK. Hilda (born 935YK) was stillborn.

Stan comes from a long line of egg salesmen. His grandfather was Stan O'Hardigan IV, his great grandfather was Stan O'Hardigan III, his great great grandfather was Stan O'Hardigan II, and his great great great grandfather was Stan O'Hardigan I.

In 936YK, Stan dropped out of primary school to work at his family's burgeoning hard boiled egg business, Stan's Egg Stand.

Stan's Egg Stand

The first Stan's Egg Stand was established in 838YK by Stan O'Hardigan I, around the corner from the House Orien Transportation Guild. The only item on the menu at Stan's Egg Stand is hard-boiled eggs. From 838 to 842YK, Stan's Egg Stand struggled and was barely kept afloat by the occasional business of traveling merchants. However, around 843YK, an explosion of halflings traveling between Zilspar and Zilargo helped Stan's Egg Stand explode in popularity. In 857YK, Stan O'Hardigan I was killed in a strong-armed robbery by two Changeling thieves.

After Stan the First's death, his son, Stan O'Hardigan II, took over the family business. In 860YK, the O'Hardigans opened a second Stan's Egg Stand in Trolanport. Stan's Egg Stand continued to grow popular, especially among halflings and adventurers who understood the value of bringing hard-boiled eggs as rations. Between 860 and 890YK, several more locations of Stan's Egg Stand opened around Breland. There were 13 Stan's Egg Stands in Breland by 900YK.

In 902YK, Skips McGargglan I opened Skip's Eggs, a direct competitor to Stan's Egg Stand. Skip's Eggs serves a variety of egg-based dishes such as scrambled eggs, fried scrambled eggs, and scrambled "egg-pops".

Stan O'Hardigan V, died from an apparent heart attack in 936YK. Stan O'Hardigan VI became the youngest CEO of the Stan's Egg Stand franchise at the age of 8 and continued to run all 13 locations until 950YK.

After the death of his wife, Shaye LeLayne, in 950YK and the sudden death of his mother in 953YK, Stan O'Hardigan VI closed all locations of Stan's Egg Stand and founded Stan's Traveling Egg Stand.

The forthcoming location of Stan's Traveling Egg Stand is announced every fortnight in The Breland Times. The current location of Stan's Traveling Egg Stand is reportedly near the Northedge Tavern in Sharn.

Personal life

Stan married Shaye LeLayne, heiress of LeLayne Hat Makers Co., in 948YK. Shayne died from complications during the birth of their first child in 950YK. Stan never remarried. Stan is partially blind, having little to no vision in his right eye. As a result, he has stereopsis. As of 982YK, Stan is also hard of hearing and has tinnitus.
