Mary Smalls
Mrs. Mary Smalls is a nice old lady with twenty four grandkids, whom visit her frequently, and the owner of thirty-seven (space)cats.
Creating her Will
Mrs. Smalls saw one of Theo's billboards and contacted him for a consultation. Seeing the potential for $generous consultation fees$ from an elderly client, Theo hit up the nearest Spacera Bread for a plate of brownies and headed to the address.
As soon as Theo saw her home in The Eye, he had her down as a crazy cat lady -- she had cats everywhere.
Mrs. Smalls needed help drawing up a will and setting up a series of trusts so that each cat would be cared for appropriately after she passed. Theo spent the next seven weeks of his life learning about each cat in excruciating detail.
Each grandchild was to receive a cat, with a strict diet and hair product regimen to be followed, lest the Court levy fines on the errant caretaker. And, due to both their advanced age and her lack of sufficient grandchildren, the older cats were to be taken in by Absalom's (apparently) premiere pet care service, Cat Paradise.
Mrs. Smalls was not merely a crazy cat lady, though. She was an absurdly rich crazy cat lady. With the trustee fees and Theo's own fee figured in, she spent something north of 1.2m credits. When it was over, Mrs. Smalls was Wattlewaggler & Associates' biggest legitimate client.
Theo does not know much about the source of her wealth; the seven weeks or meetings were consumed by the minutiae of cat trust conditions. He did notice several items of Starfinder Society memorabilia, but was never got a close look at any of it.
During his time there, Theo observed a number of her grandchildren. It seems that their parents were keen on using her as a daycare service; the younger grandchildren were dumped at her house. She also frequently had to excuse herself from Theo's consultation to call her other grandchildren and check up on them.
Move to Trucs Bout à Bout & Death
Vivian Carpenter established a sexual boutique called Trucs Bout à Bout on Absalom station and invited her grandmother to live there. While Mary was decidedly not on offer, she did enjoy the company of the other prostitutes and ended up in a relationship. The establishment had a restaurant & bar in addition to the private rooms.
When the Spinach Inquisition arrived on the scene to assist Mrs. Smalls with updates to her will, the front desk attendant Melinda introduced the inquisitors to Vivian and were graciously offered a 25% discount.
Vivian brought the inquisitors to Mrs. Smalls suite, but her access key was not working. H4NZ hacked the door, revealing a gruesome scene: bloody pawprints on every surface, catfood strewn all over, cloned kitty corpses, and Mrs. Smalls slumped on her desk. Cats erupt from the room and scatter all over Trucs Bout à Bout. H4NZ performed a medical evaluation and determined that her cause of death was choking to death on a poisoned hotdog.
After an extensive investigation, the Spinach Inquisition determines that the Blood Duster Gang arranged for Mrs. Smalls to be murdered as part of a cat-money-embezzlement scheme. Dwayne, a gang enforcer, is tortured to death by Junk and his penis cast in bronze. The ringleader, J-Rad, was also slain by the inquisitors.
